2010 Lamborghini Supercar Cnossus Concept - Lamborghini Sports Car

This here is the Lamborghini Cnossus. The Lamborghini Cnossus Concept was designed by Russian student Victor Filipchenko with the help of his Portuguese colleague Nelson Simoes as part of their final thesis project at Italy’s Scuola Politecnica di Design.
2010 Lamborghini Supercar Cnossus Concept
Every Lambo needs a bull theme, and this supercar design study for a supercar concept named after the ancient Greek city of Cnossus (Knossus) on the island of Crete. The designers claim to have been inspired by the Lamborghini Countach, though it is evident that the edgy styling of the limited production Reventon special also played a role in the design of the Cnossus Concept.

Presenting a bold vision of what the firm’s future flagship could look like, the concept takes inspiration from Lamborghini models past and present, including the Countach and Reventón.

It boasts many classic cues such as telephone-dial wheels lifted from the Countach, scissor doors and gaping air intakes in front of the rear wheelarch. At the rear, the thin strip of LED lights with inverted arrows at the end is a clear nod towards the Reventón’s jet-fighter theme, while the diffuser looks more like something you’d find on a Le Mans prototype racer than a road car.

Half-owned by Bahrain, the supercar offshoot of Formula One giant McLaren is gearing up for the launch of a spectacular new model

IN MARCH, when Formula One world champions Lewis Hamilton and Jensen Button unveiled the supercar (picture above) which the McLaren Group hopes will see them take their motoring success off of the circuit and on to the road it was hailed as a display of the best of British.

But the McLaren MP4-12C, the high-performance road car that the new McLaren Automotive marque will begin to produce in 2011, has been put together with strong support from within the Gulf.

Ferrari 458 Italia concept car

Sneak peak photos reveal an Enzo – esque flair, a striking roof line, and a $225,000 – $265,000 price range that is sure to make the car a competative seller. Our initial impression is that this car will appeal to all the Ferrari buyers — old school classic and vintage owners, guys driving the F430, 612, and 599, and gals and young (younger) first time buyers who are looking at Ferrari for the first real time thanks to the addition of the new Ferrari California line from the Cavallino Rampante house of Fiat Group.

Here’s the sneak peak pic of the Ferrari 458 Italia concept car that has everyone’s engine revving:

lamborghini reventon

Lamborghini have long been known as one of the best car manufacturers in the world. With hit models such as the Lamborghini Gallardo and the Lamborghini Murcielago, it was of no surprise when a new super car was unveiled in 2007 at the Frankfurt Motor Show. The Lamborghini Reventon Spider was revealed to the world in all its true glory, and the car is one of the most stylish ones ever. Lamborghini preserved it’s sanctity by making the Lamborghini Reventon Spider the most expensive Lamborghini ever, pricing it at one million euros. Initially, it was decided that only 20 units of the Lamborghini Reventon Spider would be manufactured, but the number was reported to have been increased to 100.

The car is extremely beautiful, and the exterior styling of the Lamborghini Reventon Spider have been taken from the F 22 Raptor Jet Plane. Even though the car looks quite new on looks and exterior, the inner mechanics are almost the same as the Lamborghini Murcielago LP640. It has been reported that Lamborghini might increase the 6.5 Liter V12 engine and add in a power pack to increase the output to approximately 15 kilowatts (20 hp), which would take the over all output of the car to around 490 kW, or 660 horse power. Despite of this increase, the fiber components of the car make the Lamborghini Reventon Spider accelerate to a 100 km/h, or 62 mph in the exact same time as the Murcielago LP640; 3.4 seconds.

Riding to Paradise: Iran

Some time ago, when we decided to travel as much as we can on our bikes, we needed a pespective. We decided to travel, starting from near to more distant places. Namely, first Istanbul and Marmara regions and then making larger circles each time, evenually meeting the country borders and beyond. A non ending project. But we would always know our direction.

It is our map to decide where to go next. We planned a trip to our neighbours on the east, namely Georgia, Azerbeijan, Armenia and Iran. It turned out to be too complicated due to many border crossings. Besides we would cross Iran from the north of the country only, but there was much more to see there. So we decided to make this an Iran ride only.

Sinad Khodro: Another Made in Iran's Car

This car is one of the best Iranian built cars (that's right, Iran does build cars) on the market there. It comes in two body styles: hatchback and coupe. Only a couple of years ago, the only cars seen on Iranian roads were the ancient and unrefined Paykans.

Rivers of these rebaged Hillman Hunters (remember those old 70's cars?) flowed through the country. Now, things are starting to improve with the new Samand on sale and the Sinad. The Samand is a car that was built with the help of French corporations. It is much better than the Paykan, but it can't compete with American autos. There are other cars sold in Iran too, like Renaults and Nissans. For more info, go to www.irkhodro.com or www.kishkhodro-sinad.com.
